Arabic gum, also known as chaar gund, char goond, or meska, is a natural gum made of hardened sap taken from two species of the acacia tree; Acacia senegal and Acacia seyal. The gum is harvested commercially from wild trees throughout the Sahel from Senegal and Sudan to Somalia, although it has been historically cultivated in Arabia and West Asia. Arabic gum, a complex mixture of polysaccharides and glycoproteins, is used primarily in the food industry as a stabilizer. It is edible.

Function:

Arabic Gum Powder is mainly used as a thickener, stabilizer, emulsifier, and coating agent glaze. This product is widely used in beverage production, such as the production of soft drinks, juice concentrate flavor, and essential oils which can be stabilized. It is also used in candy making, like traditional hard (liquor) chicle, soft candy, and cotton candy. It could also be used as a foam stabilizer.

Application:

2) In the food industry, gum Arabic is a natural emulsifying stabilizer, thickening agent, suspension agent, adhesive, film-forming agent, glazing agent, and water-soluble dietary fiber.
3) Nutritionally, it basically does not produce calories, is a good water-soluble dietary fiber, and is used in health care products candy, and drinks.
4) In medicine, gum Arabic also has the function of lowering cholesterol in the blood. In addition, gum Arabic was developed into gum powder, as a drug adjuvant therapy for patients with kidney disease.
